Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Caulker/Waterproofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction and a strong understanding of various materials and techniques used in sealing and waterproofing structures. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to read blueprints, and proficiency with hand and power tools. The Caulker/Waterproofer will be responsible for ensuring that all caulking and waterproofing tasks are completed efficiently and effectively, contributing to the overall integrity of our projects.
Responsibilities
- Apply caulking materials to various surfaces to prevent water intrusion.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople including plumbers, electricians, and carpenters.
- Perform restoration work as needed on existing structures.
- Conduct inspections to ensure quality control of waterproofing applications.
- Utilize heavy equipment safely on construction sites.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
- Operate power tools and hand tools effectively for various tasks including concrete finishing, masonry, flooring installation, and tile laying.
Experience
Candidates should possess experience in the following areas:
- Construction site experience with an emphasis on caulking and waterproofing
- Proficiency in using Bluebeam for project documentation
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation
