Project Manager – Building Structural Engineer

Location: Saint Louis, MO

License: PE required (SE preferred)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in building structural engineering. This position involves managing new building projects, renovations, expansions, repairs, and standalone structures ranging from $10K to $20M. The ideal candidate enjoys client interaction, solving engineering challenges, and leading projects from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage structural engineering projects
  • Coordinate with clients, architects, and project teams
  • Prepare designs for structural steel, concrete, and masonry systems
  • Oversee project schedules, budgets, and deliverables
  • Ensure compliance with applicable building codes and standards

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering

(Master's degree preferred)

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license – required
  • Structural Engineer (SE) license – preferred
  • 5+ years of structural engineering experience
  • Experience with structural steel, reinforced concrete, and masonry design
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of structural software such as RAM, RISA, Revit
  • Strong understanding of building codes: IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC
