Overview

We are an established Marine Canvas business of 35 years. We design, pattern, sew and install custom marine canvas and upholstery. We have an established client base in the panhandle of Florida. Our business is founded on quality of work and customer service. We are seeking a skilled Upholsterer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for craftsmanship and a keen eye for detail, specializing in the assembly and fabrication of Marine upholstery . This role will involve working with various materials and utilizing both hand tools and power tools to create high-quality products that meet our clients' specifications.

Duties

  • Designing and patterning while on a boat or at the shop, interior and exterior upholstery.
  • While at the shop you will be cutting fabric and foam for various upholstery projects.
  • Utilize an industrial, pneumatically driven sewing machine to sew fabric, foam, and other materials together according to design specifications.
  • Employ hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and assembling components of upholstery projects.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols while using tools and equipment.
  • Inspect finished products for quality assurance before delivery or installation.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in upholstery work is required.
  • Proficiency in using sewing machines and hand tools is essential; familiarity with power tools is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to read work orders, product maps, and following precise instructions and specifications.
  • Knowledge of fabric types, patterns, and upholstery techniques is highly desirable.
  • Assembling projects with multiple components.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing various projects and older products.
  • Producing high-quality product with close attention to detail and striving for efficiency.
  • Learning and retaining new skills and techniques
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • A good attitude is a must

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
