The Role
The
Senior Manager, Business Planning
plays a key role in driving forecast accuracy, business management, and cross-functional alignment for assigned markets within the Embedded Business Unit. This position owns the planning and forecasting process for assigned markets—synthesizing inputs from Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance to deliver actionable insights and manage execution toward BU goals. This is an individual contributor role.

Key Responsibilities
Markets Revenue Forecasts
- Lead the BU market-based forecast process for assigned markets, managing timelines, deliverables, and data accuracy.
- Partner with Sales and Markets teams to develop, refine, and consolidate forecasts.
- Provide analytical support, data validation, and business insights to assist segment/market leads.
- Continuously improve forecast accuracy and transparency through enhanced processes and metrics.
- Align and explain forecast deltas versus prior outlooks, sales actuals, and long-range plans.
- Rationalize forecast inputs across BU views, ensuring consistent assumptions and data integrity.
Monthly Business Outlook / Forecasting
- Drive the monthly forecast cycle for assigned markets, integrating inputs from Sales, Markets, Operations, and Finance.
- Deliver independent analysis and commentary for business reviews and executive presentations.
- Identify and summarize key variances, risks, and opportunities across forecast iterations.
- Develop and maintain visibility trackers, deal trackers, and gap-closure analyses to support proactive management.
- Partner with Demand Planners to align on supply/forecast priorities and escalation topics.
- Collaborate with Finance to assist with gross margin trends, historical performance, and key drivers.
- Conduct market analytics and pipeline projections to inform short- and long-term planning.
Guidance & Attainment Management
- Support BU-level guidance preparation, including commentary on market trends and performance.
- Track market-level targets and key customer attainment metrics to ensure alignment with overall BU goals.
- Support weekly business reviews and quarterly performance discussions for assigned markets.
- Provide clear, data-driven insights on what changed, why, and the expected impact on future outlooks.
- Provide weekly Market Outlook for quarterly attainment.
- Manage execution to BU targets.
Demand Planning
- Serve as the subject-matter expert for assigned markets within the S&OP process.
- Align market forecasts with demand planning, supply constraints, and corporate forecast inputs.
- Ensure integration between marketing forecasts and demand/supply plans, driving consistency across functions.
- Work closely with Sales Operations to triangulate sell-in and sell-through performance.
Business Management & Analytics Infrastructure
- Collaborate and co-own forecast tools, data processes, and systems used for assigned market planning.
- Drive continuous improvement in planning analytics, dashboards, and data visualization.
- Ensure data quality and process discipline across all forecast submissions.
- Incorporate external market and industry data into business analysis to enhance insight and competitiveness.
Preferred Eperience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Experience in business planning, forecasting, or financial analysis, preferably in the semiconductor or high-tech industry.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics, sales operations, and demand/supply planning processes.
- Advanced analytical and modeling skills, with proven ability to translate data into meaningful business insights.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional processes and influence at multiple organizational levels.
- Proficiency in Excel and planning/analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Anaplan, SFDC, or equivalent).
- Excellent communication skills, including experience preparing and presenting executive-level summaries.
Academic Credentials
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred
