GIS Analyst

Responsibilities
Kforce has a client that is seeking a GIS Analyst in Hollywood, FL. This role involves advanced technical work focused on analyzing, evaluating, and improving GIS infrastructure and data processes across departments. Key Responsibilities:

• GIS Analyst will analyze and enhance existing GIS systems to support client's operations and decision-making
• Design and implement technical procedures for processing GIS data in alignment with standards
• Apply GIS techniques to interpret diverse data sets and uncover geographic insights
• Extract and analyze GIS data, develop user-friendly Webapps for data visualization, and recommend strategic responses based on findings
• Lead and manage GIS-related projects with minimal to moderate supervision
• As a GIS Analyst, you will conduct field data collection and perform data creation, editing, and manipulation for complex GIS studies
• Collaborate with the Planning & Development Director and the IT Department's GIS Division

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field with GIS coursework
• GISP certification preferred
• Minimum 5 years of GIS experience, including 3+ years with ArcGIS databases, AutoCAD, and GPS technologies
• Strong understanding of GIS/GPS principles, cartographic and statistical theory
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Proficiency in GIS software and related tools
• Valid Florida Driver's License
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
