Crown Point, Indiana's first shareable plate restaurant serving a diverse selection of menu choices appealing to all palates.

We are looking for an experienced, organized, and qualified full time line cook. You will be a key part of our culinary team and participate in all kitchen activities and training. Our operation will also host events and catering. You will help create the distinctive dishes and develop the plate presentations

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, clean, and maintain food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces, or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices.
  • Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperature by regulating temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, fryers, roasters, and other kitchen equipment.
  • Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock.
  • Knows and complies consistently with the restaurant's standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for the quality of products served.

Skills

  • 2-3 years of culinary experience
  • Serve Safe Certified a plus
  • Outstanding communication
  • Up-to-date with culinary trends
  • Degree in the culinary arts is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $18.00 per hour
