Database Developer

We are looking for an experienced Database Developer to join our team in Pomona, California. This role focuses on designing, managing, and optimizing database systems while ensuring seamless integration with front-end applications. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Access, SQL Server, and Azure Cloud hosting, along with the ability to support development initiatives, including mobile application projects.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain SQL Server databases hosted on Azure Cloud, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

• Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries and stored procedures to support database operations.

• Design and oversee database architecture, maintaining referential integrity, proper indexing, and adherence to established naming conventions.

• Maintain and enhance Access applications hosted on Azure Virtual Desktops, ensuring smooth functionality.

• Implement user security levels and manage permissions within Access applications.

• Create and modify database tables, forms, reports, queries, modules, and macros to meet evolving business needs.

• Automate processes and enhance functionality through the development and maintenance of SQL scripts and modules.

• Synchronize Access front-end applications with SQL Server back-end databases to ensure data consistency.

• Lead the design and development of a mobile application that integrates with SQL Server data, contributing to new project initiatives.

• Provide technical support for database-related issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve challenges.

• At least 5 years of detail-oriented experience in Access and SQL Server development.

• Demonstrated expertise in Azure Cloud database hosting and management.

• Strong knowledge of database design principles, including indexing, referential integrity, and naming conventions.

• Proven ability to link Access front-end applications to SQL Server back-end systems.

• Experience managing user security permissions and roles within database environments.

• Proficiency in troubleshooting and optimizing database queries and stored procedures.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
