Position Overview:
The Fire Alarm Project Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and close out of fire alarm & suppression system projects in their assigned region. This role involves coordinating with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure that fire alarm systems are installed according to OBC, NFPA, and client specifications. The Fire Alarm Project Supervisor will also manage project budgets, timelines, and provide regular updates to customers.
Position Reports To: Fire Alarm & Security Operations Manager (Regional)
Direct Reports: FA Low Voltage Installers and FA Programmers
Responsibilities:

- Project Management: Oversee all aspects of fire alarm system projects from conception to completion. Ensure projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
- Coordination: Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and clients to effectively plan and execute fire alarm & suppression projects. Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors to promote efficient execution of projects.
- Compliance: Ensure all fire alarm & suppression system installations comply with local, state, and federal safety regulations. Ensure system has been properly installed and commissioned prior to final acceptance tests with AHJ and customer.
- Budgeting: Prepare and manage project budgets. Monitor and control project costs to ensure financial efficiency.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed project documentation, including specifications, drawings, and reports. Ensure all project documentation is correctly stored and archived.
- Communication: Organize and attend project meetings. Provide regular updates to all stakeholders. Facilitate good communication between customers, design, and project teams.
- Training: Provide training and guidance to installation teams. Assist in the development of new business proposals and proposal reviews.
- Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems and safety regulations.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to climb ladders, use lifts, and work at various heights.
- Able to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and crouching throughout the workday.
- Must have good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components and tools.
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
- Must be able to work in confined spaces or outdoor environments as needed.
- Requires occasional pushing, pulling, and reaching overhead.
- Must be able to wear and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Capable of driving company vehicles and transporting equipment or materials when needed.
- Ability to remain alert and focused while performing detailed or repetitive tasks.
