Office Manager / Controller

The Office Manager / Controller provides accounting oversight and accurate reporting to the dealership Controller and is responsible for accounting office and administrative functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the dealership's office activities, including accounting, receivables, payables, inventories, and titling, etc.
  • Manage a team to ensure all of the above duties are performed in a timely, accurate, ethical and professional manner.
  • Assist sales and service teams with all accounting / office needs.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and detailed departmental reports.
  • Perform account reconciliations.
  • Review account detail daily to identify issues, errors or irregularities.
  • Perform end-of-month duties along with submission of manufacturer's financial statements in a timely manner.
  • Ensure state and manufacturer compliance with all accounting and reporting functions.
  • Maintain professional personal appearance.
  • Complete required training assigned through the company training portal.
  • Adhere to consistent and reliable work schedule.
  • Demonstrate ethical business practices and integrity in all interactions to uphold the Mac Haik Automotive group brand.
  • Effectively perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Five years' or equivalent experience in a supervisory accounting role, preferably within the automotive retail industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • College degree preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Successful completion of pre-employment screening
  • Authorization to work in the USA
