Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a baker's assistant. This role is essential in ensuring the quality and presentation of our baked goods and food products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts, with a focus on baking and food preparation. You will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional products to our customers while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.

Duties

  • Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, and other baked goods according to established recipes.
  • Package finished products for sale, ensuring they are presented attractively and securely.
  • Assist in food production processes, including food preparation tasks such as chopping, mixing, and measuring ingredients.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing inquiries about products.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow in the kitchen
  • Follow all food handling guidelines to ensure the safety and quality of all food items produced.

Skills

  • Experience in packaging baked goods for retail sale.
  • Strong background in food production and preparation within a culinary environment.
  • Previous pastry experience is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen operations is essential.
  • Excellent customer service skills to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations.
  • Previous kitchen experience within the food industry or catering environment is preferred.
