Community Support Services Manager

Job Summary
This supervisory role involves overseeing client services, managing staff and interns, coordinating food assistance programs, and ensuring quality service delivery aligned with Catholic Charities' mission. The ideal candidate is highly organized, compassionate, and committed to empowering individuals and families toward greater stability and self-sufficiency. This position requires strong leadership, program management, and team development skills.
What you'll do
- Supervise daily operations of client services, ensuring professional and compassionate interactions across all communication channels.
- Oversee initial client assessments and guide staff in providing budgeting support, goal setting, and resource navigation.
- Coordinate the emergency pantry and choice pantry operations, including inventory control, distribution logistics, and compliance with safety standards.
- Occasionally provide support to the Schuylkill County Community Café Food Truck.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of client records in accordance with Catholic Charities policies and grant requirements.
- Lead collaboration efforts with internal teams and external community partners to enhance service delivery and resource accessibility.
- Review and submit weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports; ensure data integrity and alignment with grant and agency standards.
- Monitor community social needs and regulatory changes; provide strategic input to program development and advocacy efforts.
- Represent Catholic Charities on community-based committees or task forces; serve as a spokesperson at public functions within the Diocese of Allentown.
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate interns, volunteers, and assigned staff; provide training and professional development opportunities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to strategic planning.
- Perform other supervisory duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in oral and written English.
- Demonstrated experience in direct client services and program supervision.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and ability to learn grant-specific web-based applications.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and foster a collaborative team culture.
- High attention to detail and commitment to service excellence.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $41, $44,000.00 per year
