Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing a variety of administrative tasks. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure smooth clinic operations, accurate documentation, and a welcoming environment for all visitors. The ideal candidate is motivated, tech-savvy, and passionate about supporting patient care through efficient office management.

Duties

  • Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a positive first impression
  • Schedule appointments using electronic health record (EHR) . EMA experience preferred.
  • Check out patient's collect copay and/or deductible and co-insurance. MUST BE ABLE TO DO BASIC MATH.
  • Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance eligibility and benefits verification
  • Collect patient information accurately and update electronic medical records (EMR systems) l
  • Handle multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately
  • Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including intake documentation and payment processing
  • Maintain organized medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and proper filing procedures
  • Support clinic staff with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and appointment reminders
  • Review documentation for accuracy and completeness to support care plans and billing accuracy

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare documentation review
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and basic computer skills for data entry and record management
  • Excellent patient service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and communication abilities
  • Ability to handle medical collection processes effectively while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines
  • Bilingual skills are desirable to serve diverse patient populations
  • Prior clinic or medical office experience is REQUIRED, especially in outpatient clinic setting.
