Job Summary
Join a Federal US House congressional campaign team and make a direct impact on the future of Michigan's 2nd Congressional District We're looking for energetic, self-motivated individuals to serve as Political Canvassers for a U.S. House campaign focused on veterans, agriculture, and education. In this role, you'll travel throughout West and Northern Michigan, engaging directly with voters, collecting petition signatures, and sharing our message of integrity, commitment, and trust.
This position requires significant travel within the district — all mileage, gas, and related expenses are covered by the campaign. Ideal candidates are confident communicators who enjoy meeting people, working outdoors, and being part of a fast-paced, purpose-driven team.
What you'll do
- Conduct door-to-door outreach to connect with voters and collect verified petition signatures.
- Represent the campaign with professionalism and enthusiasm in every interaction.
- Record accurate data and feedback to support ongoing campaign strategy.
- Travel to assigned areas throughout Michigan's 2nd District (transportation costs covered).
- Support local campaign events, community outreach, and team coordination as needed.
Basic qualifications
- Strong people skills and an ability to communicate clearly with diverse voters.
- Positive attitude and comfort with outdoor, on-the-move work.
- Reliable transportation (gas and travel costs are reimbursed).
- Prior canvassing, sales, or customer engagement experience a plus but not required.
- Interest in politics is preferred
Compensation
- $15+ per hour equivalent, based on 10–25 verified signatures per hour
- Flexible scheduling and opportunities for additional responsibilities based on performance.
