Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to lead advanced analytics initiatives and develop innovative AI and machine learning solutions. The ideal candidate will leverage expertise in big data technologies, statistical modeling, and data mining to drive strategic decision-making. This role offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects involving natural language processing, model deployment, and data integration across diverse platforms. The Senior Data Scientist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable data architectures and implement robust analytical models that influence key business outcomes.

Duties

  • Develop and implement machine learning models using frameworks such as TensorFlow, Spark MLlib, and other AI tools.
  • Lead data mining and exploration efforts utilizing SQL, Python, R, SAS, and Hadoop to extract actionable insights from large datasets.
  • Design and optimize database schemas and ETL processes with Talend, Bash (Unix shell), and other tools to ensure efficient data flow.
  • Apply unsupervised learning techniques and natural language processing to analyze unstructured data sources like linked data and text corpora.
  • Collaborate on model training, validation, deployment, and monitoring within cloud environments such as AWS.
  • Conduct research in quantum engineering principles applied to data science for innovative problem-solving approaches.
  • Develop dashboards and visualizations using Looker or similar analytics platforms to communicate findings effectively.
  • Work closely with engineering teams on model deployment strategies using Java, C, or other programming languages for integration into production systems.
  • Stay current with emerging trends in big data analytics, AI frameworks, and machine learning methodologies to continuously improve analytical capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in machine learning, AI, natural language processing, and big data analytics.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, R, SQL, SAS, Java, C, Bash (Unix shell), and VBA for data analysis and automation tasks.
  • Hands-on expertise with AWS cloud services, Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, MapReduce), Spark (PySpark), TensorFlow frameworks, and Talend ETL tools.
  • Solid understanding of database design principles and experience working with linked data sources.
  • Knowledge of model training techniques including supervised and unsupervised learning approaches.
  • Familiarity with model deployment strategies within cloud environments for scalable applications.
  • Experience in data mining, analytics visualization tools like Looker, and statistical analysis methods.
  • Advanced degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics or related field preferred; relevant certifications are a plus.
