Job Summary

Fitness Showrooms' best retail showroom in the chain of 14 locations has a retiring senior sales representative. We are looking to add a local, dynamic, sales oriented and meticulous person to demonstrate fitness equipment to our Bergen County clientele. We carry the best brand sin the business with tremendous stock and warehousing for our customers including after care service. We sell to home consumer and multi-user fitness rooms.

As a Showroom Sales Representative, you will be the vibrant face of our brand, engaging customers and guiding them through their purchasing journey. Your role will be pivotal in showcasing our high-end products and services, ensuring that every visitor leaves inspired and informed. With your expertise in sales and design, you will create stunning layouts and provide exceptional customer service that transforms showroom visits into memorable experiences.

What you'll do

  • Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored product recommendations.
  • Conduct product demonstrations that highlight the features and benefits of our offerings.
  • Utilize design software such as SketchUp and CAD to create captivating layout designs for clients.
  • Negotiate sales agreements to close deals effectively while upselling complementary products.
  • Maintain a well-organized showroom by stocking merchandise, ensuring displays are visually appealing.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and manage point-of-sale (POS) systems with efficiency.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients through effective account management and follow-up communication.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote showroom events and special promotions.

Basic qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proficiency in retail math for accurate pricing and inventory management.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in outside sales or high-end retail environments.
  • Knowledge of renovation, construction, or interior design principles.
  • Familiarity with lighting design concepts and lighting sales techniques.
  • Previous experience with cashiering, customer service, or product merchandising.
