Machine Technician

The Machine Technician Tape works in a controlled environment and is familiar with the stringent nature of gowning, product handling and movement associated with cleanroom etiquette for efficient tape production process. Working with adhesive tape products, the Machine Technician Tape is involved in the production cycle of the tape for processing all products that undergo final processing and packaging in the Tape cleanroom. Works under supervision to carry out multiple tasks or projects. Productive worker with solid work ethic in successfully completing tasks by being dependable, responsible contributor committed to excellence and success.

Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions

• Maintain and enforce all applicable standard operating procedures and policies
• Work with Machine Technician Tape Supervisor to manage the flow of product from support areas through to tape cleanroom packaging
• Perform line clearances and quality checks following SOPs, Manufacturing Instructions and Good Documentation Practice.
• Maintain a clean and organized work flow
• Stage and inspect raw materials and semi processed products in readiness for cleanroom process
• Report defective materials or questionable conditions, machine performance to the department supervisor
• Follow relevant SOPs to ensure correct gowning and monitor co-workers
• Follow required cleaning practices after each work order and/or shift change as outlined in relevant SOPs and Manufacturing Instructions
• Understanding of all part numbers processed through production area
• Informed understanding of SOPs that impact general employee and quality activities
• Informed understanding of GSS system with regard to logging into shifts and works orders
• Liaise with Machine Technician Tape Supervisor and/or Assistant Production Manager–
• To review daily tasks
• To efficiently track product per batch/work order
• To inform of any anomalies in processing of product relating to:
• Machines
• Maintenance
• Raw material
• Complete routine tasks with minimal supervision
• Adhere to following the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 standards

Job Type & Details

• ENTRY (LEVEL 1): Entry-level professional with limited or no prior experience; learns to use professional concepts to resolve problems of limited scope and complexity; works on developmental assignments that are initially routine in nature, requiring limited judgment and decision making.
• INTERMEDIATE (LEVEL 2): Professional who applies acquired job skills, policies, and procedures to complete substantive assignments/projects/tasks of moderate scope and complexity; exercises judgment within defined guidelines and practices to determine appropriate action.
• EXPERIENCED (LEVEL 3): Experienced professional who knows how to apply theory and put it into practice with in-depth understanding of the professional field; independently performs the full range of responsibilities within the function; possesses broad job knowledge; analyzes problems/issues of diverse scope and determines solutions.

Pay: $19.25 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
