Here are the roles we hire for in our US based Engineering Department:

  • Associate Software Engineer: Early-career engineer focused on learning, delivering defined stories, collaborating closely with senior team members, and building foundational skills across UI, APIs, or cloud.
  • Software Engineer: Independent contributor who delivers complex stories, contributes best practices, mentors juniors informally, and demonstrates growing full-stack capabilities.
  • Senior Software Engineer: Experienced engineer who consistently enhances team velocity, mentors others, drives quality, and designs features with novel or complex technical approaches.
  • Staff Software Engineer: Technical leader within a project who guides development, supports team capacity, ensures high-quality delivery, and contributes to architectural decisions.
  • Principal Software Engineer: Senior technical expert who architects complex solutions, leads development teams, drives estimation and DevOps maturity, and ensures sprint commitments and project success.
  • Associate Technical Director: Hands-on delivery leader responsible for end-to-end technical oversight, managing scope and risks, leading code audits/POCs, and ensuring successful project outcomes.
  • Technical Director: Senior technical leader overseeing multiple client engagements, ensuring successful delivery, mentoring managers/coaches, and driving quality and technical excellence across teams.

We'd Love To Hear From You If:

  • Core Delivery & Collaboration: Experience working in Agile environments, communicating progress, raising blockers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Commitment to high-quality delivery with attention to detail, code quality, and testing. Alignment with Praxent's Core Values and ability to contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture.
  • Client Interaction & Communication: Strong communication skills, including partnering with client stakeholders to clarify requirements, discuss technical approaches, and provide demos.
  • Technical Breadth (for all engineering roles): Experience with at least one of the following: Building modern, attractive user interfaces (React or Angular preferred), Building data-driven REST APIs (Python, Go, Node, or Java), Administering cloud infrastructure, servers, or databases (AWS preferred)
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

The US base salary range for our full-time roles range based on skills and experience. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
