America's Car-Mart is seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our friendly team. Compensation:  $30 - $40 per flag hour

We are searching for the following qualifications:

  • -Experience in all subsystems of vehicles preferred(engine, heater and a/c, steering/suspension, brakes, drivetrain, electrical subsystems).
  • -Ability to diagnose electrical systems on vehicles. These electrical systems support and are included in all other systems of the machines we repair.
  • -Ability to use a computer to follow service information instructions and research solutions to new problems.
  • -Ability to follow a diagnostic procedure and record test results.
  • -Ability to adapt and change your approach to the problem at hand to work to find a solution; design tests for unexpected problems.
  • -Must have own vehicle scanner and tools.

Skills

  • Basic knowledge of vehicles
  • Aptitude in using various hand tools (screwdrivers, hammers etc.) and precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers)
  • Ability to follow established procedures and practices and read instructions.
  • A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines
  • Very good communication skills
  • A problem-solving ability
  • High school diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is a definite plus.

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and able to follow directions.

This is a full-time position with the ability for growth into Automotive technician.
