Engineering Intern
Primary Responsibilities
- Support new product development activities including design, prototyping, and testing
- Design and build product prototypes
- Conduct laboratory and real-world testing
- Perform CAD work using PTC Creo or SolidWorks
- Participate in FMEA (design and process engineering) activities
- Perform field trials alongside the engineering team
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development initiatives
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills
- CAD competency (PTC Creo or SolidWorks)
- Demonstrated ability to problem-solve technical issues
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Working knowledge of mechanical design and materials
- Proficiency in Statics, Dynamics, and Fluid Mechanics
- Experience with manufacturing processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Required Education/Experience
- Currently enrolled in a degree program in Mechanical Engineering or another related field
- Must hold a valid driver's license
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
Preferred
- Experience with 3D printing, rapid prototyping, or additive manufacturing
- Experience with inspection tools and laboratory equipment
- Previous exposure to FMEA or product validation activities
