Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fry Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of food safety practices. As a Fry Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking various menu items, ensuring high-quality standards are met while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and menu specifications, with a focus on frying techniques.
  • Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including all cooking equipment.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
  • Assist in menu planning and development, providing input based on dietary needs and preferences.
  • Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
  • Follow proper food handling procedures to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
  • Participate in catering events as needed, providing exceptional service to guests.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred.
  • Proven experience in the food industry, particularly in fine dining or restaurant settings.
  • Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on cooking techniques, meal preparation, and knife skills.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices for food handling.
