**Job Description: Emergency Department RN (Night Shift)**

**Position Shift:** 7 PM - 7 AM
**Contract Length:** 91 Weeks
**Positions Available:** 2
**Location:** Webster, TX

**Unit Information:**
- **Number of Beds:** 45
- **Number of Staff:** 102
- **Staffing Structure (Night Shift):**
- 1 Charge Nurse
- 1 Navigator
- 7 Registered Nurses (RNs)
- 1 Paramedic
- 1 Nurse Tech
- 1 Unit Secretary
- **Patient Ratios:** 4:1
- **Equipment:** GE Monitors & EKGs, Life Pak Monitors, Pyxis Medication Dispensing System
- **EMR System:** Meditech

**Job Responsibilities:**
As an Emergency Department Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for:
- Providing high-quality nursing care to emergency department patients.
- Conducting assessments, planning care, and implementing treatment plans.
- Performing procedures such as Reduction/Splint, Chest Tube placement, Accessing Port-a-Cath, Blood product administration, and Intubation.
- Utilizing ultrasound-guided IV placement techniques.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

**Qualifications:**
- **Required Certifications:**
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)

- **Skill Set:**
- Must-have: Proficiency in emergency nursing procedures and techniques.
- Preferred: Experience with ultrasound-guided IV placement.

**Additional Information:**
- **Dress Code:** Scrub Color/Attire - Royal Blue
- **Weekend and On-Call Requirements:**
- 4 weekend shifts per schedule.
- Night shift weekend obligations include Friday & Saturday nights.
