Day-to-Day:

  • Ensure deliveries are made to optimize loads, customer needs and are completed as scheduled
  • Drive full size Kenworth truck with Moffett, Box Truck, or Transit Van (depending on license and delivery demand)
  • Build and check that the loads going out for delivery are safe, secure, and correct
  • Maintain a high level of customer service by assisting customers with material pick-ups and answering questions
  • Work as a team - with vendors, sales staff, operations team, and Preston Feather leadership
  • Regular team huddles to boost comradery and share information efficiently

What You Bring:

  • Knowledge of inventory management
  • Receiving, labeling & staging
  • Maintaining a clean and organized yard
  • Ensuring all loads are safe, secure and correct
  • Delivery experience
  • Safe and efficient operation of vehicles
  • Inspection of loads
  • Skills driving Kenworth truck with Moffett, Box Truck, or Transit Van (depending on license and delivery demand)
  • Customer service & communication skills
  • Communicate proactively with dispatch and purchasing: material shortages, quality issues, etc.
  • Customer presence proactive problem-solving
  • Provide customer service in Yard where needed
  • Technical aptitude
  • Utilize company provided cell phones for jobsite contact and proof of delivery
  • Confidence using software platforms for tracking time and internal company communications
  • Valid Drivers License Required, CDL preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED
