Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Collection Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts, and maintaining positive relationships with clients. This position requires strong communication skills, a solid understanding of financial concepts, and the ability to negotiate effectively.

Work Details:

  • Full-time on-site position
  • Weekly pay
  • Half workday every Friday

Responsibilities

  • Manage and follow up on outstanding accounts through phone calls and written correspondence.
  • Utilize phone etiquette to communicate professionally with clients regarding their accounts.
  • Analyze accounts for discrepancies and perform account reconciliation as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of all collection activities using financial software and accounting software.
  • Collaborate with the customer service team to resolve client inquiries related to billing and collections.
  • Negotiate payment arrangements with clients while adhering to company policies and regulations.
  • Conduct account analysis to identify trends in payment behavior and develop strategies for improvement.
  • Provide support for revenue cycle management initiatives by ensuring timely payments are received.

Experience

  • Previous experience in Business to Business collections, accounts payable, or accounts receivable is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts, accounting principles, and basic math skills.
  • Familiarity with telemarketing techniques and customer service best practices.
  • Proficiency in financial software applications relevant to collection processes.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a proven track record of successful debt recovery.
