Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Roadside Assistance Technician to join our team. This role is essential in providing timely and effective support to drivers experiencing vehicle issues on the road. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for helping others, ensuring that stranded motorists receive the assistance they need as quickly as possible.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to roadside assistance calls, providing support for a variety of vehicle issues.
  • Utilize mechanical knowledge to diagnose problems and perform basic repairs on-site, including jump-starts, tire changes, and fuel delivery.
  • Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete necessary repairs.
  • Conduct vehicle maintenance checks as needed to ensure safe operation of service vehicles.
  • Use an ohmmeter and other diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electrical issues when required.
  • Maintain accurate records of services performed and report any significant vehicle issues to management.
  • Ensure all equipment is kept in good working condition and report any malfunctions or safety concerns.

Experience

  • Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle maintenance or repair preferred.
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment such as an ohmmeter.
  • Previous experience in a roadside assistance or automotive service role is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in various weather conditions.
