Position's Objective & Purpose
: Responsible for all molding operations and the safe, efficient production of

quality parts on assigned shift. Motivate, train, evaluate, discipline, advise and direct all molding employees on

assigned shift. Enforce and support all Company policies and procedures.

Job Titles of positions that report to the Production Supervisor:

Team Leaders

Essential functions:

Supervise all molding personnel in the performance of their functions and maintain documentation.

Organize shift startup.

Organize set-up schedule and starts and assign tasks to optimize shift efficiency.

Supplement permanent staff with temporary personnel as needed.

Collaborate with H.R. Manager to enforce policies and procedures on assigned shift.

Verify that molded parts meet quality specifications.

Monitor Production monitoring software system for productivity, cycle times and correct part counts.

Collaborate with Maintenance Department as needed.

Ensure cleanliness and order in the Production Department.

Monitor status of 5-S check-off board, and completeness of activities

Use 5-S suggestion form for set-up. Process, or other improvements

Trouble shoot problem molds and machines as needed

Responsible for safe operations in the Production Department on assigned shift.

Inspect all material equipment, and material tags

Non-essential functions:

Manage plant wide problems on night shifts and keep Production Manager informed daily

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Machines, tools, equipment and electrical devices used to accomplish the job:

Forklift, personal computer, fax machine, copy machine, telephone, two-way radio

Qualifications, skills and training required to do the job:

Must have extensive knowledge of all aspects of plastic injection molding methods, processes and procedures.

Must have the ability to solve problems, make decisions and work independently with excellent interpersonal

skills. Must have the ability to communicate English both verbally and in writing. Must have the ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Computer literacy is preferred. Knowledge of production monitoring software is preferred.
