Engineering Technician

Summary:

Advanced Technology Systems Company (ATSC) is seeking a short-term Engineering Technician or Field Service Engineer (FSE) with an active Secret clearance to support installation and integration services in Fort Carson, CO. This position could be an employee or contract position. This position would require the FSE to be centrally located for daily operations working from Fort Carson Army Base. 

Essential Responsibilities: 

  • Perform a wide range of technician tasks to include: 
    1. Cable routing, mounting, and terminations of electrical assemblies.
    2. LRU assembly and installation of subcomponents, cable harnesses, and mounting brackets per build to print drawings.
    3. Conduct functional verification and provide inspection reports.
    4. Assist with configuration audits and verification of installation work.
  • Read and understand schematics, technical drawings and engineering data and reports.
  • Perform wiring, soldering, operate standard and unique test equipment.
  • Maintain and understand ATSC/site documentation i.e., parts request forms, timecards, maintenance logs, etc.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications: 

  • 3 years of qualified experience.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook. 
  • Must have a current US driver's license. 
  • If prior US Military, must have an honorable discharge. 
  • Must be able to pass a detailed background investigation and possess an active secret security clearance. 
  • Must be a US citizen.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, bend, kneel, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see.
  • Must have the ability to lift 25-50 pounds.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
