The Division of Neonatology is a rapidly growing, academically oriented division. We are currently seeking an Assistant Professor or Associate Professor–level faculty member to join our expanding team with split clinical duties between the University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center (UM-SJMC) and the University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC).This position will support the Level III NICU at UM-SJMC while also contributing to clinical care, education, and quality initiatives within the Level IV NICU at UMMC. The successful candidate will hold a faculty appointment in the Department of Pediatrics, University of Maryland School of Medicine, at Assistant Professor or Associate Professor commensurate with experience.The University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center NICU is a Level III unit serving children across Maryland and the Mid-Atlantic region.Position HighlightsLevel III NICU: expandable 20 bed capacity, located in Towson, MDStaffed with 24 /7 and Neonatal Nurse PractitionersTeleHealth Support 24/7 from the UMMC Level IV NICUThe Maryland Regional Neonatal Transport Program (MRNTP) services that providesReferral to University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC)- Level IV NICU in BaltimoreReferral to UMMC PICU providing ECMO and post-cardiac surgery careVermont-Oxford Network. Reporting on Quality MetricsUM SJMC is a 263-bed Catholic hospital with more than 700 physicians on the medical staff. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary and will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and other factors, as reasonably determined by the University.Expected rank for this position will be Assistant Professor or higher, however, final rank and tenure status will be commensurate with selected candidate's experience.
