Ultrasound Technician (Allied) – Breast Sonographer

Location: Utica, New York

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Assignment Type: Contract / Travel

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Breast Sonographer (Ultrasound Technician) to join our healthcare team in Utica, NY. The ideal candidate will be ARDMS-certified in Breast (BR), possess strong technical expertise, and demonstrate exceptional patient care and communication skills. This position requires the ability to work independently, perform high-quality breast ultrasound examinations, and produce accurate diagnostic reports.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality breast ultrasound examinations following physician orders and departmental protocols.
  • Produce and evaluate images for diagnostic quality and accuracy.
  • Prepare and submit detailed, accurate imaging reports.
  • Maintain a professional and compassionate approach to patient care.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and medical staff to support diagnostic evaluations.
  • Ensure proper operation, maintenance, and cleanliness of ultrasound equipment.

Requirements

  • Certification: ARDMS (BR) – Breast Sonography certification required.
  • Experience: Minimum 2+ years of recent experience as a Breast Sonographer.
  • BLS Certification: Required (AHA).
  • Travel Experience: Prior travel assignment experience required.
  • Work Style: Must be able to work independently and complete required reports efficiently.
