Duties

  • Prepare a variety of sushi dishes, including nigiri and rolls, following traditional recipes and presentation standards.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
  • Ensure all food handling practices comply with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Monitor inventory levels of sushi ingredients and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
  • Train kitchen staff on sushi preparation techniques and proper food handling procedures.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, flavor, and presentation in every dish served.
  • Stay updated on culinary trends and continuously seek to improve skills through ongoing education.

Skills

  • Proficient in restaurant operations with experience in menu planning and culinary arts.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques.
  • Ability to prepare various types of sushi with precision and creativity.
  • Experience in meal preparation for both individual orders and catering events is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
