Sandstone of Tucson is seeking a Full-Time Occupational Therapist (OT) to join their In-House therapy team in Tucson, AZ Come join this IN-HOUSE today

Our 240 bed facility is comprised of residents who are all family to us and we treat everyone with the same level of dedication and compassion as if they were our own parent.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan treatment to residents and patients with temporary or long term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing
  • Assure all treatment is delivered in accordance with an established plan of care
  • Provide clinical support and instruct patients, families, and caregivers
  • Monitor patient response to treatment intervention
  • Complete required forms and documentation in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations
  • Consulting with patients to learn about their physical condition.
  • Assessing and interpreting patient evaluations and test results.
  • Developing treatment plans using a variety of treatment techniques.
  • Creating personalized fitness-oriented health care programs for patients.
  • Administering medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain and improve mobility.
  • Advising patients on exercise techniques.
  • Advising patients and their families about in-home treatment options.
  • Providing educational information about injury prevention, ergonomics and ways to promote physical health.
  • Consulting and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
  • Documenting patient care history.
  • Complying with rules, regulations, and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology
  • Proficiency in medical terminology
  • Experience in patient care and developing care plans
  • Skills in assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs)
  • Familiarity with discharge planning and working with diverse populations, including geriatrics and individuals with disabilities
  • Background in acute care settings, skilled nursing facilities, or outpatient therapy
