The pay scale reflects the minimum as a Standard Inspector and the maximum as a Combination Inspector. The position & pay will depend on qualifications and experience.

About The Role:

  • Reviews construction plans and specifications for compliance with applicable codes.
  • Performs field inspections related to building, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing codes.
  • Assists with processing permits, and providing general information as needed.
  • Discusses building, mechanical, electrical and plumbing problems with builders, architects, contractors, engineers and others.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Valid Florida Driver's License
  • Holds State Inspectors License in any one of the following categories: Building, Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical, One and Two Family or; demonstrate the work experience and ability to acquire a State Provisional Inspectors License in any one of the above listed categories within 180 days of hire and must obtain license within one (1) year of hire.

In order to qualify as a Combination Inspector, MUST hold a State Inspector's License and one of the categories as described in the job description.
