Job Overview

Farmers Insurance – The Maribel Ortega Agency is looking for a driven, motivated professional to join our high-performing team through our Agency Development Program

This opportunity is designed for individuals who want to build a successful career in insurance sales while learning directly from a top-producing Farmers Insurance agency. You'll receive hands-on training, real-world sales experience, and proven strategies to help you confidently sell, market, and negotiate insurance products.

From day one, you'll be actively engaged in sales and client interactions while earning a base salary plus commission. You'll also have direct access to district training specialists, ongoing coaching, and the tools needed to maximize your production and income. No prior insurance experience is required—just a strong work ethic, competitive mindset, and desire to succeed.

Salary Range: $48, $60,000.00 per year

Requirements
  • Successful completion of a background check is required
  • One year minimum sales experience preferred
  • Proven leadership and communication skills
  • Previous experience in customer service, sales, or other related fields
  • Ability to build rapport with clients
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Positive and professional demeanor
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
  • Present prospective customers with the best insurance policy options to meet their needs after assessing their individual circumstances and goals
  • Make phone calls, write text messages, and send emails to increase sales revenue from potential customers
  • Create new and continued business by uncovering opportunities to upsell and cross-sell financial products
  • Hit the outlined business production objectives so the agency meets its overall financial goals
  • Generate accurate insurance quotes by leveraging accurate data, customer information, and available insurance rates
  • Handle customer inquiries
  • Sell and solicit/provide information about the products and services
  • Troubleshoot and resolve product issues and concerns
  • Document and update customer records based on interactions
  • Develop and maintain a knowledge base of the evolving products and services
