Front End Assistant Manager

We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Front-End Supervisor to oversee daily operations at the front of the store. This role is responsible for leading cashier and courtesy staff, ensuring excellent customer service, managing checkout flow, and handling front-end procedures such as refunds, overrides, and scheduling. The ideal candidate is a natural leader who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and enjoys interacting with customers and team members.

MAIN JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise front-end staff including cashiers, baggers, and lot attendants
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and feedback to team members to maintain high performance and excellent customer service
  • Ensure proper staffing and break coverage throughout the day
  • Handle escalated customer issues, returns, voids, and other front-end transactions
  • Monitor and maintain front end cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards
  • Train new front end team members on company policies, register operations, and customer interaction
  • Support with daily opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and balancing registers
  • Assist with promotional displays and in-store signage at the front-end
  • As part of your role, you may be required to perform additional duties or tasks as assigned by your manager or the company. Flexibility and a willingness to take on varied responsibilities are essential expectations for all positions

QUALIFUCATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior management experience a must
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and safely lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Team player with a positive attitude
