The Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining programs and policies to ensure a safe and healthy work environment. This position promotes compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations related to environmental health and safety.

- Salary range for Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator between $75,000 and $105,000 USD annually, based on experience
At our facility in Niagara Falls ,New York you can develop your full potential, sustainably, by applying your expertise within the Packaging team as the Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator :
- Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Deliver and document OSHA-required safety training; educate employees on chemical safety, hazardous materials handling, and emergency procedures.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses; lead accident investigation meetings and support supervisors with root cause analyses and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and environmental regulations through management of programs like Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), hazardous waste disposal, and emergency response planning.
- Lead and support site-wide safety projects, including maintaining the chemical SDS database, coordinating tank inspections, updating safety documentation (ConformIt, guidelines, handbooks), and driving the Safety Pillar initiatives.
- Represent the site during safety audits and serve as a liaison with corporate to align local practices with broader safety and environmental health initiatives.

- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Safety Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental health and safety (EHS) management.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant safety and environmental regulations.
- Preferred certifications include Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety management software tools
