Job Summary

The General Superintendent oversees all
field operations
for electrical construction projects, including planning, execution, quality, safety, workforce management, and ensuring work meets schedule, budget, and contract requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support superintendents and field teams.
  • Ensure work complies with plans, specifications, budgets, schedules, and safety rules.
  • Assist with installation, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems when needed.
  • Provide technical guidance on drawings, methods, and equipment.
  • Monitor productivity, job progress, material status, and costs; implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain strong relationships with general contractors and project managers.
  • Attend coordination meetings; help resolve conflicts, delays, or jobsite issues.
  • Enforce safety compliance and participate in investigations.
  • Support project startup, turnover, and closeout processes.
  • Document issues, violations, and job progress.

Supervisory Duties

  • Train, direct, and evaluate field employees.
  • Handle performance management, discipline, and problem resolution.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of construction management or craft supervision (electrical preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of
    National Electrical Code
    , construction methods, safety, scheduling, and cost control.
  • Ability to read/interpret plans and communicate clearly.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Valid Florida driver's license.
  • High school diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Florida Journeyman or Master Electrician License.
  • Engineering degree.
  • Experience with Accubid, Bluebeam, Autodesk, Raken, PlanGrid.
  • OSHA 30.
  • Bilingual.

Work Environment

  • Must use PPE and maintain stamina for extended physical tasks.
  • Requires full range of vision and mobility.

Travel

  • Frequent travel to job sites across Florida; may require nights/weekends.
