Job Summary
The Production Lead, Disbursement is responsible for overseeing the daily intake, prioritization, and distribution of disbursement work. This role ensures the accurate and timely handling of settlement funds, adherence to lender Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and compliance with closing instructions. The Production Lead functions as the first escalation layer for Disbursement Associates, actively contributes to production tasks, and supports training and development for new and existing team members. They will collaborate closely with the Supervisor, Disbursement to drive efficiency, maintain high-quality customer experiences, and promote an enjoyable, productive team environment.
Role Description
- Monitor daily disbursement queues to ensure timely and accurate assignment of tasks.
- Prioritize and distribute work among Disbursement Associates based on urgency, complexity, and SLA requirements.
- Act as the first point of escalation for complex disbursement issues, including wire discrepancies, refund reviews, or returned checks.
- Contribute directly to production responsibilities such as reviewing settlement funds for accuracy, processing outgoing wires, and ensuring compliance with closing instructions.
- Support Associates with standard and complex workflows, providing guidance and feedback as needed.
- Maintain open communication with lenders, borrowers, and internal partners to resolve file-level issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Assist with training, coaching, and equipping team members with resources and process guidance to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with operations leaders to identify workflow improvements, staffing needs, and process updates.
- Provide regular feedback to management on queue status, team productivity, and operational trends.
Job Requirements
- Has 3–5 years of escrow/title disbursement experience with proven expertise in handling settlement funds.
- Excellent phone, email, face-to-face, and remote communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to support and coach team members in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.
- Proven ability to manage high-volume, time-sensitive workflows with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve escalations calmly and efficiently.
- Extreme attention to detail and organizational skills, knowledge of title insurance, regulatory guidelines, and legal documents.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and remain proactive in anticipating workflow needs.
- Open-minded to process changes, continuous system updates, and enhancements.
- Proficient in using title production systems (experience with ResWare is a plus).
Shown below is the lowest to highest base salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the base salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. At Doma, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
This job is also eligible for the following compensation components: Bonus
