Safety Coordinator

Dahmes is hiring a detail-oriented and proactive Safety Coordinator to lead our safety initiatives. In this essential role, you'll shape and enforce policies that safeguard our people and equipment while promoting a culture of responsibility and well-being.

What You'll Be Responsible For:

As the Safety Coordinator, you'll take ownership of our safety programs—from policy development to on-site implementation. You'll work closely with leadership to ensure regulatory compliance, maintain thorough documentation, and proactively identify and mitigate risks.

  • Design and revise safety policies and protocols in collaboration with management
  • Conduct facility-wide safety audits and inspections
  • Lead annual training sessions and employee safety education
  • Investigate incidents and recommend preventive actions
  • Provide technical and administrative support to the safety committee

Main Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and safety standards
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office and safety documentation tools
  • Physically capable of performing site duties (lifting, climbing, standing)
  • Valid driver's license and authorized for international travel

Other Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of safety experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting
  • Familiarity with—or willingness to learn—Canadian OHS standards
