Job Overview

Qpot Hot Pot BBQ is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Part-Time Servers to join our vibrant team. As a server, you will be the welcoming face of our restaurant, providing exceptional guest service in a lively and dynamic environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a unique dining setting that combines hot pot and BBQ cuisine, emphasizing quality food and memorable guest experiences. Ideal candidates will have previous food service or restaurant experience, strong communication skills, and a passion for hospitality. Candidates should be comfortable handling food and beverages, managing multiple tables, and upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and provide attentive table service throughout their dining experience
  • Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
  • Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
  • Upsell menu items including specialty dishes and drinks to maximize sales opportunities
  • Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are consistently met during service
  • Assist with setting up tables, bussing, and maintaining cleanliness of dining areas
  • Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems and process payments efficiently
  • Provide excellent guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring guest satisfaction
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and restaurant policies to enhance guest experience

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality industry preferred; experience with fine dining or nightclub environments is a plus
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order processing and cashiering
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
  • Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices in food handling and serving
  • Ability to upsell menu items effectively to increase sales revenue
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and billing accuracy
  • Experience with food preparation, bussing, or host/hostess duties is advantageous but not required
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights; previous nightclub or serving experience is beneficial but not mandatory
