Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a
Project IT Manager II
with our large power and utilities client in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12-month contract with a potential for extension. This is a hybrid position - 3 days a week in office.

Pay:
$ $58.00/hr
; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment.

Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager II to join our IT department and support the remediation of End-of-Life SharePoint technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing projects in the IT space, with a proven track record of delivering projects using Agile methodologies. This role requires excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills to ensure successful project delivery and alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage multiple projects in the Enterprise Solutions IT department, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Utilize Agile methodologies to plan, execute, and monitor project progress, ensuring continuous improvement and adaptability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Power Grid Operations, Natural Gas Business Unit, Nuclear, along with other business units, to refine project requirements, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and track project performance against established metrics.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Communicate project status, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders, including senior management and project sponsors.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards, as well as industry's best practices.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on IT projects.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) certification is highly desirable.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project and JIRA.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
