The range is minimum $69,574 midpoint $92,141 maximum $114,707 Salary offers may extend beyond the advertised minimum dependent upon salary history and comparable experience. A salary offer would rarely extend beyond the midpoint. 

Overview

Under the direction of the principal, manages the fiscal, operational, technological, and personnel resources of the school in a way that focuses on effective instruction, the achievement of all students, and the achievement of district objectives.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree from an accredited institution in Educational Leadership or related field.
  • Certification in Educational Leadership if Master's is in a related field.
  • Successful completion of the OCPS Administrative Pool requirements.
  • Three (3) years of teaching experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Knowledge of research-based instructional models and high-yield instructional strategies. Knowledge of organization and management theory and practice. Knowledge and commitment to decentralized decision-making and accountability for results that facilitate creative processes toward achievement of district expected results. Knowledge of school finance, budget development and implementation, and support services delivery systems. Knowledge of and ability to work within collective bargaining agreements. Ability to work with and through staff and stakeholders to focus resources toward the achievement of district objectives and the achievement of all students. Ability to seek input and facilitate collaborative processes through consensus building, conflict resolution, planning and decision-making. Understands that quality teaching and learning are the essential processes and product of public schools and has the ability to focus human and financial resources toward this end.REPORTS TO: School PrincipalSUPERVISES: Teachers and support staff assigned to his/her schoolMACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT:Machines, tools, equipment, electronic devices, vehicles, etc., used in this position. Activities occur inside and outside.PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:* Manifest a professional code of ethics and values.* Respond to internal and external customers in a timely, accurate, courteous and empathetic manner representing OCPS in a positive light.* Model the routine, intentional and effective use of technology in daily work, including communications, organization and management tasks.* Serve as an instructional leader by providing a clear vision regarding the district instructional model.* Establish clear and measurable goals focused on the critical work of improving achievement and the achievement of district objectives.* Ensure multiple forms of data are analyzed, interpreted, and used to drive instruction and the optimal functioning of the school.* Assist the principal in establishing the structures for and building expertise through distributive leadership and job-embedded professional learning, including but not limited to professional learning communities.* Assist the principal by managing the daily operations and functions of the school consistent with district policy and district objectives.* Administer policies that provide a safe and effective learning environment.* Assist the principal with communication of the districts' vision, mission and objectives to the community.* Serve as a member of the principal's leadership team and participate in the schools planning, development and evaluation.* Keep the principal informed of current school critical issues and incidents about which he/she should be aware.* Make decisions in a timely fashion using the best available data.* Communicate effectively with, interact with, and seek input from all stakeholders in the community.* Plan and schedule one's own and others' work so that priorities and goals can be met.* Assist the principal with supervision and evaluation of teachers and staff in terms of their performance and responsibilities in the achievement of school goals and district objectives.* Assist the principal with developing and implementing a school-based induction plan to meet the needs of teachers in the OCPS Comprehensive New Teacher Induction Program.* Assume responsibility for the total operation of the school and the welfare of the teachers, staff and students, in the absence of the principal.* Participate in professional learning and keeps up to date on current research, trends and best practices relevant to the area of responsibility.* Work outside regular duty hours when necessary for the effective, efficient, and safe operation of the school.* Follow the district's policies and procedures as related to all HRMD guidelines and the district's instructional initiatives.* Follow the district's policies and procedures as related to fixed assets.* Develop leadership in subordinates.* Responsible for keeping up to date on current technology being used by OCPS. With the support of the district, attend training to ensure skill level in various technologies is at the level required to perform in current position.* Responsible for maintaining timely and accurate information and is accountable for the quality of information maintained by those they supervise.* Responsible for self-development and keeping up to date on current research, trends and best practices relevant to the area of responsibility.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.* Essential Performance ResponsibilitiesPERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES STANDARDS:1.0 Student AchievementTERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:Non-bargaining unit compensation plan, twelve months, 8.0 hours per day.EVALUATION:Evaluated under the OCPS District Leader Model.02/01/2021
