Job DescriptionThe Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Planning Analyst to support our Direct to Consumer (DTC) business. This role will be critical in shaping demand forecasts, identifying trends, and delivering insights that enable smarter decision-making across supply chain, marketing, and finance. The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen with exceptional technical skills in Excel and data modeling. In this role, you will also own pre-season assortment planning and manage in-season insight-to-action partnership with DTC Merchandisers, Brand partners and Supply Chain.
What Your Impact Will Be:
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve forecasting models for the DTC channel, incorporating historical sales, marketing campaigns, seasonality, and emerging consumer trends.
- Translate large, complex datasets into actionable insights to support inventory planning, promotions, and revenue targets.
- Partner closely with cross functional teams (Supply Chain, Merchants, Brand Teams, Marketing) to align on forecasts and ensure operational readiness.
- Conduct ad hoc analysis to evaluate business performance, promotional effectiveness, and emerging risks/opportunities.
- Create automated dashboards, advanced Excel models, and scenario analyses to support leadership decision making.
- Support monthly business reviews by delivering clear, insightful reporting on DTC trends and performance.
- Assist in accurate data inputs of assortment line plans, proactively updating cross functional teams of changes.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor or Master's preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in forecasting, business analytics, or financial planning, preferably in DTC, retail, or consumer products.
- Exceptional Excel expertise (advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros, Power Query, Visual Basic preferred); experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker) a plus.
- Strong understanding of forecasting methods and strong communicator on how trend shifts impact the business
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to synthesize data into clear business recommendations.
- Highly detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
This is the best role for:
- A strategic thinker who can see the big picture but isn't afraid to dive deep into the data.
- A self starter who thrives in a fast paced, evolving DTC environment.
- Someone who loves Excel and can leverage it as a superpower to drive efficiency and clarity.
- A collaborative partner with multiple teams and strives for solutions as business evolves
