Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience with various CNC machinery, including CNC laser cutting and CNC milling machines. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings. As a CNC Operator, you will play a crucial role in the fabrication and assembly of components while ensuring adherence to quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC machines and including CNC plasma and oxy-acetylene cutters.
  • Set up and adjust machine tools according to specifications outlined in blueprints.
  • Perform quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Utilize hand tools and tooling for machining tasks as required.
  • Follow safety protocols while operating machinery and handling materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of production runs and inspections.

Experience

  • Proficiency in CNC programming and operation is essential.
  • Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) practices.
  • Experience with electrical discharge machining (EDM) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of plasma cutting techniques and press brake machine operation is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in welding or fabrication is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of basic math principles related to machining processes.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Able to use Sheet Cam (code writer), V Carb Pro (drawings), and Mach3 machine.
  • Experience with assembly processes within a manufacturing environment is beneficial.
