Responsibilities
- Safely operate a box truck or similar commercial vehicle to deliver products to customers across designated routes
- Load and unload cargo using equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques, ensuring proper handling of goods
- Verify delivery orders, obtain signatures, and ensure accuracy of shipments before departure and upon completion
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS or route maps, adjusting plans as needed to meet delivery schedules
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly, answering questions, and addressing concerns professionally
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine safety checks to ensure optimal operation
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during every delivery
Experience
- Prior experience as a delivery driver or courier is highly preferred, especially with box trucks or similar vehicles
- Demonstrated ability in route driving with a focus on punctuality and safety
- Warehouse experience is a plus, including familiarity with load & unload procedures and heavy lifting techniques
- Hands-on experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks is advantageous but not mandatory; training can be provided
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driving license (CDL) or driver certification is a plus
- Comfortable with manual transmission vehicles and heavy lifting tasks involved in moving goods
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally at all times
