Professional Care Services of West TN, Inc. (PCS) is seeking a full-time youth behavioral health specialist designated for the Lake County service area. A master's degree in behavioral health is preferred, with a bachelor's level and work-related experience considered.

The full-time position will provide community-based services and supports for children and youth with or at risk for mental health or other challenges and their families. The services and supports will be organized into a coordinated network that builds meaningful partnerships with families and youth to help them function better at home, in school, in the community, and throughout life.

The position and program will utilize the High Fidelity Wraparound model, which involves young children, youth, young adults, and families receiving intensive care coordination services.

PCS prioritizes key values critical to youth and their families with behavioral health needs, including programs and practices focused on promotion, intervention, and recovery support services, which:

· Encourage co-occurring competent and co-occurring friendly programs;

· Aim to prevent and mitigate the impact of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs);

· Promote trauma-informed approaches; and

· Prioritize evidence-based and/or evidence-informed services, resulting in strong outcomes for each child and family served.

PCS is a not-for-profit licensed community mental health center (CMHC) with a 54-year history of providing quality behavioral health and substance abuse services to our communities. The Agency offers a broad range of traditional outpatient mental health services to adults and children. Services are provided by psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, master-level therapists, social workers, and certified prevention specialists.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions for clients with various mental health issues.
  • Conduct assessments and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including cognitive behavioral therapy and crisis intervention.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance therapeutic skills.
  • Support clients in navigating challenges related to substance abuse and mental health.
  • Foster a safe and supportive environment for clients to express their thoughts and feelings.

Qualifications

  • A master's degree in social work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field, with behavioral health experience, or a bachelor's degree with work experience will be considered.
  • Strong experience in psychotherapy and crisis intervention techniques.
  • Familiarity with cognitive behavioral therapy practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including children, families, and community stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to link and refer clients and families to other resources and services available in their community

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $38,000.00 per year
