The Position:

We are looking for an Estimator to accurately calculate and provide cost projections for products and orders, ensuring competitive pricing and profitability. By analyzing material, labor, overhead, and other costs, this position will enable the sales team to present accurate quotes to clients and streamline the estimation process with tools and standardized methods to improve efficiency and maintain consistency using historical data and market trends.

Position Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed quotes for Account Managers and the Outside Sales team by assessing and calculating all costs associated with each order, including raw materials, labor, production overhead, and shipping, and validate cost factors to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Use specialized software tools to efficiently generate accurate quotes.
• Update software to reflect current pricing for materials and labor.
• Analyze historical cost data to establish benchmarks and improve the accuracy of current and future quotes.
• Develop and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routers to ensure precise manufacturing processes, cost estimation, and workflow efficiency.
• Maintain organized documentation for auditing and compliance purposes.
• Maintain records of all quotes, supporting calculations, and related correspondence for reference.
• Maintain standardized price lists to distribute to Account Managers and Outside Sales.
• Partner with engineers to understand technical specifications and production requirements for products.
• Provide regular reports to management on quote turnaround times, accuracy, and trends.
• Liaise with the purchasing department to gather up-to-date material costs.
• Suggest process enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy in quoting.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of estimating experience required; 5 years of experience preferred.
• Previous experience with Global Shop or another similar ERP System preferred.
