Magic Plumbing, Heating & Cooling is a well-established residential service company with over 40 years in the Bay Area. We have strong demand, consistent leads, proven systems, and a solid team. What we need now is a sales-driven Service Manager who can lead from the front and help take our service department to the next level.

This is not a desk-only management role. This is a player-coach position for someone who can sell, coach, and own results.

What This Role Is About

You will be responsible for driving revenue through:

  • Your own sales on larger or more complex jobs
  • Improving technician performance, including conversion rate and average ticket

If you enjoy closing jobs, coaching technicians, and being accountable for real numbers — this role is built for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sell and close larger service jobs, sewer work, re-pipes, and complex diagnostics
  • Support technicians on high-value estimates and step in as the closer when needed
  • Coach technicians to improve conversion, average ticket, and option presentation
  • Conduct ride-alongs and post-job reviews to identify missed opportunities
  • Review invoices and pricing to ensure consistency and profitability
  • Monitor callbacks and correct pricing or diagnostic issues
  • Work closely with dispatch and leadership to keep revenue flowing

This Role Is NOT

  • A desk-only manager
  • A dispatcher or scheduler
  • A training-only role
  • A position without sales responsibility

This role owns revenue.

Who We're Looking For

  • 3+ years in residential plumbing or service management
  • Strong sales ability and comfort closing higher-dollar jobs
  • Experience coaching technicians or leading a service team
  • Confident communicator with customers and team members
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Growth-oriented, accountable, and motivated by performance-based pay

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a residential service company ($3M–$10M range)
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
