Davies Insurance Sector is hiring a
Senior IT Business Analyst / Product Owner
to lead the strategy, design, and delivery of enterprise applications and digital products. This role serves as the key liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring innovative solutions that drive measurable impact across underwriting, claims, and operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for enterprise applications.
  • Gather and document detailed business and system requirements from cross-functional teams.
  • Translate requirements into clear user stories, data models, process flows, and functional specifications.
  • Lead Agile ceremonies including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and prioritization.
  • Collaborate with developers, UX designers, quality assurance, and architecture teams.
  • Evaluate vendor platforms and recommend technology improvements and enhancements.
  • Conduct impact and gap analyses, feasibility studies, and process reviews.
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops, demonstrations, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Serve as a trusted technology advisor to internal business partners.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to optimize systems, workflows, and business value delivery.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in business analysis or product ownership within IT or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Proven Agile/Scrum experience, including backlog ownership and user story creation.
  • Strong technical understanding of APIs, data models, and system integrations.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering complex, enterprise-level IT solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in the
    Property & Casualty (P&C)
    insurance industry—particularly homeowners insurance.
  • Experience with core insurance systems such as
    Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco, or OneShield
    .
  • Professional certifications such as
    CSPO, CBAP, or PMI-PBA
    .
  • Familiarity with
    cloud/SaaS platforms
    , workflow automation tools, and modern data management technologies.
  • Understanding of
    regulatory and compliance standards
    within homeowners insurance.
