We're thrilled to welcome a Mechanical Cost Estimator with healthcare project experience to join our California team This remote role is ideal for someone currently based in California who is looking to be a key member of our cost estimating team, with the opportunity to learn and grow alongside a passionate group of cost estimating and construction management professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide detailed quantity take-off and preliminary pricing for a variety of construction project types.  
  • Review and interpret construction drawings to understand the overall project scope.
  • Support development of comprehensive cost estimates/models communicating the client's project and strategic goals.
  • Facilitate document control, file management, and project collaboration.
  • Ensure a quality product is presented to the client by adhering to QA/QC procedures.
  • Actively research, solicit and develop sources/vendors to compile and maintain the accuracy of cost information.
  • Communicate effectively through clear and concise means appropriate to the project goals.

Qualifications:

  • 2 - 5 years of experience as a cost estimating professional (ideally in a consulting environment), including conceptual estimating, takeoffs, change order review/reconciliation, and value engineering; prior mechanical trade experience required.
  • Prior healthcare estimating experience highly desired 
  • Ability to understand and accurately interpret construction documents (drawings, specifications).
  • Proficient user of On-Screen Takeoff (OST) software or similar quantity takeoff software preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, or architecture is preferred.

Compensation: $100, $130,000.00
