Title: Financial Analyst

At Liner Legal, we are committed to helping individuals secure the Social Security Disability benefits they deserve. With compassion and diligence, our team works closely with clients throughout every stage of the process—from initial application to final appeal. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our growing team.

* this role is hybrid-remote with in-office work 1-2x/week *

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing Financial Documents: Processing and analyzing attorney fee letters and notice of award letters to ensure accuracy, recording vital data and summary to database.
  • Fee Management: Tracking and following up on attorney fees, ensuring timely processing and resolution of any issues.
  • Creating Fee Petitions: Drafting and submitting petitions for attorney(s), ensuring they meet all necessary criteria.
  • Documentation: Maintaining organized records of all communications, petitions, and financial documents related to fees and awards.
  • Process Optimization: Identifying areas for improvement in financial processes and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency.
  • Updating Referral Partners on pending and closed cases
  • Filing Fee petitions

Skills Needed:

  • Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail for accurate document review and processing.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies.
  • Communication: Effective written and verbal communication skills for liaising with clients, staff and the Social Security Administration.
  • Tech Proficiency: Familiarity with financial software or databases to manage and track documents efficiently.
