The
County
is recruiting for
Licensed Vocational Nurses I
- Corrections
who assist physicians, registered nurses and other health specialists in the treatment and care of patients in an adult or juvenile
locked correctional facility
. Duties include providing basic nursing care; collecting vital signs, blood, and specimens; and administering medications as directed. Incumbents in this class are expected to perform the full range of duties under close supervision while acquiring the experience and skill of a journey-level Licensed Vocational Nurse.

The list established by this recruitment will be used to fill current and future vacancies in the
Sheriff's (Adult population) and
Probation (Youth population)
.
The Sheriff's Department positions are for day, evening and night shifts
(with an immediate need for the High Desert)
.

Sponsorship:
San Bernardino County is not able to consider candidates who will require visa sponsorship at the time of application or in the future.

Minimum Requirements
License:
Must possess and maintain a current Licensed Vocational Nurse license with the State of California.

AND
Certification:
Must possess Basic Life Support certification.
